International Year of Astronomy
Astrofest 2009 will be held September 25-26, 2009 at Vana's near Kankakee, IL. The theme for this year's event is "International Year of Astronomy." As in the past, we will have an impressive lineup of speakers and a lot of telescopes for night observing.

Dr. Dykla will speak on warp drive. Will quantum gravity make it possible? Recent studies show the energies in warp drive are many magnitudes less than expected. John Dykla is professor of physics at Loyola University.
